Things are changing over at Power-Con. The fan convention — which has been held in Anaheim, California, for the past decade and primarily focused on the Masters of the Universe (MOTU) fandom —is moving to Columbus, Ohio, and broadening its content.
As announced today, next year’s convention will take place from Aug.5-7 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and will expand to include a wider variety of toys. According to a blog post published on the official Power-Con website, attendees at next year’s show will see what’s new (and what’s coming) from some of today’s most popular toy and collectibles companies and meet the creators behind popular toy lines.
In addition to MOTU, previous Power-Cons have included content from other retro properties, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and ThunderCats. Now, according to a teaser video released by the convention, the event will incorporate brands like Power Rangers, Bratz, and Transformers.
