The latest POP by Foot Locker collaboration takes inspiration from The Walking Dead, specifically the Whisperers plot from season nine, for a new pair of Puma sneakers.
Only die-hard fans of TWD will notice the subtle callouts on the shoes’ exteriors: There are hand-painted dirt patterns (because, you know, running from zombies) on the shoes, and custom leather detailing on the tongue and heel. The homage is a bit more obvious — and creepy — on the insoles. They feature Alpha, leader of the Whisperers, staring up at you.
The shoes also come in a Walking Dead-themed box, decorated with “TWD” and Alpha’s face.
The special-edition shoes were designed by Alexander-John and cost $200. They will be available exclusively from Foot Locker beginning on March 25 (just in time for the show’s season finale).
