ANOTHER streaming app? Before you roll your eyes, this one actually does seem different from the pack.

Quibi (short for “quick bites”) provides star-studded, short-form videos that are designed to be watched on your phone. Viewers can enjoy a mix of content, including “Movies in Chapters,” which are released daily in clips that vary from 7-10 minutes in length; “Unscripted and Docs,” which is full of reality-style TV across categories like food, fashion, travel, animals, cars, sports, and more; and “Daily Essentials,” which is Quibi’s news category, delivered in 5-6 minute snacks.

The newest player in the streaming game will release 175 new shows across multiple genres this year, and many of them feature some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Anna Kendrick, Joe Jonas, Jennifer Lopez, Chrissy Teigen, Bill Murray, Reese Witherspoon, Rachel Brosnahan, Laurence Fishburne, and so many more.

The app officially launched today in the U.S. and Canada, and is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. New users get to experience Quibi for free for 90 days, and can choose from $4.99 per month with ads, or $7.99 per month for an ad-free experience.

Viewers can enjoy new content constantly, with new episodes across all three Quibi categories releasing daily. And to give potential fans a real taste of what’s in store, Quibi released the first three episodes of its launch titles, including Survive starring Sophie Turner, Most Dangerous Game starring Liam Hemsworth, and Punk’d starring Chance the Rapper.

One of the coolest Quibi features? The videos adjust no matter how you choose to hold your phone. Viewers used to binge-watching Instagram TV videos can enjoy Quibi vertically, while the YouTube obsessed can flip horizontally instead.

Quibi is an interesting mix of new ways to watch. The short-form content is perfect for viewers with short attention spans, and the daily episode release allows fans to keep coming back for more without too much time between episodes. But is there room for yet another streaming app in an already overcrowded arena? At least this one offers a fresh feast of original content with a snackable watch style.
