Ravensburger’s latest game is perfect to play while watching Disney’s Hercules or the “Poker Face” scene from Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
Ravensburger is back with a third installment of its Horrified franchise, a line of tabletop board games in which players face off against iconic monsters. The company’s latest installment, Horrified: Greek Monsters, features monsters from Greek mythology. Specific monsters in the game include Medusa; Cerberus, the three-headed dog; the Chimera; and the Minotaur.
Ravensburger previously launched Horrified: Universal Monsters, which featured the most iconic modern monsters, including Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, the Mummy, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. There is also Horrified: American Monsters, which features Mothman, Bigfoot, and other cryptids you’d find in the U.S.
Horrified: Greek Monsters also features a new game mechanic called lairs. Players must uncover the monsters as they hide in the lairs but can only reveal them once they sacrifice three color items.
Horrified: Greek Monsters will be available for preorder starting on Sept. 5 and will hit shelves starting on Oct. 1. If you were obsessed with that one Greek mythology book at your childhood library, this game is definitely for you.
