Prepare yourselves for an epic new Disney adventure! This morning, Walt Disney Animation Studios launched the first teaser trailer for its upcoming original animated feature, Raya and the Last Dragon.
Starring Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina as the last dragon (named Sisu), the movie is — perhaps optimistically — set to open in theaters on March 12.
In the trailer, fans get a look at the young warrior Raya, who lives in the fantasy world of Kumandra. 500 years before Raya’s time, humans and dragons lived together in Kumandra. But then, an evil force threatened the land and the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, that evil has returned. It’s up to Raya to track down the legendary last dragon in an effort to save the land and its divided people.
