At the last Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), DC Comics launched its streaming service, DC Universe (DCU). Now, a year later, DC Universe has its own slate of events, giveaways, and more planned for the con.
To start, DCU will host a two-hour event on Saturday, July 20 at 7 p.m. in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront. At the event, fans can expect “sneak peeks, first looks, exclusive screenings, and breaking news for Titans, Doom Patrol, Young Justice: Outsiders, and the upcoming adult-animated comedy series Harley Quinn.”
There will also be a panel for fans the “DC Daily” podcast on Friday, July 19, from 10-11 a.m. in room nine.
Those attending SDCC who are also DC Universe members will get special perks throughout the event. These include passes to the premiere screening of DC Spotlight: Shazam; VIP tickets to attend Batman’s induction into the Comic-Con Museum Hall of Fame; access to sign up for a members-only signing with Jim Lee; a chance to attend a private, DCU member brunch on a yacht in the San Diego Marina; and more. Members can learn more about these benefits here.
Throughout the con, fans can also visit the DC/Warner Bros. booth (No. 4545) for a Harley Quinn-themed activation. Those who purchase an annual DCU Membership on site will get an exclusive gift set of comic books, and those who already have a membership can collect an original series print each day of the con.
