Dragon Ball Guinness World Record attempt

Toei Animation Inc., Funimation, and Bluefin are kicking off their 2019 Dragon Ball World Adventure tour in a super way.

Toei Animation and Bandai Namco Entertainment invite Dragon Ball fans to make history on the opening night of Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) by joining a Guinness World Record attempt to become the largest group of people simultaneously performing the Kamehameha super energy attack move. Don’t forget your Saiyan hair and battle gear as you Kamehameha alongside the legendary actor Sean Schemmel, the English voice of Goku, who will lead the attack move.

The fake brawl will go down on Wed., July 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the 2019 Dragon Ball World Adventure on the Marriott Marina Terrace at the Marriott Marquis San Diego. The first 1,000 participants can snag a free Dragon Ball Scouter accessory during the event. Guinness World Records will be on site to validate the record attempt, so tons of participants better come to rage hard — and anticipate some funny looks from passers-by. Those poor hotel guests have no clue what’s coming.

Following the world record attempt, fans can play a few rounds of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Dragon Ball video games, including Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, Dragon Ball Z Fighter, Dragon Ball Legends, and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, at interactive kiosks. Then, they can head to the Dragon Ball Animated GIF Photo Booth to create their own gifs to share will friends across social media. They can also buy S.H. Figuarts event-exclusive Dragon Ball collectibles and products to commemorate the experience. Fans can purchase the exclusive merch from the Tamashii Nations (booth No. 3545) inside the Main Hall during their SDCC-issued exclusive merchandise time slot.

To complete their Dragon Ball experience at SDCC, fans can join the Dragon Ball Sticker Rally to collect stickers at each attraction at the Dragon Ball World Adventure. They can trade in the stickers for free premiums, including Dragon Ball wristbands, posters, lanyards, stickers, and Saiyan Hair Set headbands. Fans will also take home an exclusive 2019 Dragon Ball World Adventure oversized swag bag for participating in the tour events.

After SDCC, the tour will stop in seven locations around the world, including New York, Mexico City, Cologne, Barcelona, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Find all the tour details on the Dragon Ball World Adventure’s official website.
