Comic-Con International: San Diego — better known as SDCC — is already one of the most popular fan events in the world. For more than 50 years, the convention has brought together fans for a chance to celebrate all things comic books and pop culture. Now, the company has partnered with licensing agency IMG to expand its reach.
By teaming up with IMG, SDCC hopes to further its goal of promoting comics and engaging with the fan community. IMG will work to identify licensing partners who can create products, retail destinations, and experiences for the many fans who are not able to attend SDCC in person.
The SDCC brand has already started expanding in recent years, most notably with the opening of the Comic-Con Museum in San Diego.
Fans can keep up to date with the latest information about SDCC and all Comic-Con International happenings by visiting comic-con.org. SDCC will return to the San Diego Convention Center for a full, in-person show this summer (July 21-24) for the first time since 2019.
