Right from the opening of Shrek, we know that Shrek is one with nature. From basking in the swaters to taking a mud bath after using the outhouse in the morning, Shrek’s rustic swamp home is clearly where he feels most like himself. If you’ve ever wanted to be as relaxed as Shrek was in that scene, you’re in luck.
Airbnb is offering a one-time stay at Shrek’s Swamp, hosted by Donkey! From Oct. 27-29, up to three guests can kick back at Shrek’s Swamp in Highland Council, Scotland. This swamp is just like the one from the movie, complete with an outhouse, an earwax candle on the dining table, and a “Beware Ogre” sign out front. When we say this Airbnb has an outhouse, we mean exactly that. The facilities are a short walk away from Shrek’s house.
As a part of the collaboration, Airbnb is donating to HopScotch Children’s Charity to support disadvantaged kids in Scotland. To nab this ultra-limited experience, you can sign up to request booking on Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. BST. The booking itself is as free as taking a mud bath in the privacy of your own swamp, but if you manage to book Shrek’s Swamp, you have to organize your own travel to Scotland.
Whether you’re excited for waffles in the morning or enjoying an earwax-candle-lit dinner, your stay at Shrek’s Swamp will make layers of memories. Check out the swamp’s official listing now at airbnb.com for a full list of amenities and more photos.
