Stern Pinball is bringing your game room to a fantasy world with Dungeons & Dragons: The Tyrant’s Eye, a new pinball game to celebrate 50 years of D&D!
In this game, players are chosen members of the Dragonshield Guild trying to defeat the dragon queen Tiamat while exploring the Forgotten Realms, which feature iconic enemies like a red dragon, a gelatinous cube, a mimic, Sammaster the lich, Xanathar the beholder, an owlbear, and locations in Faerûn such as Arabel and Westgate.
Players will also face off against Rath the Relentless, a red dragon animatronic that is one of the most advanced animatronic mechs in pinball. The animatronic reacts to player action using impact sensing technology and is defeated by hitting the 3-bank target and releasing a burst of pinballs when it breathes fire. Other interactive elements in the game include an electromagnet-powered gelatinous cube, dungeon levels that can only be accessed through a disappearing trap door, and more.
Dungeons & Dragons: The Tyrant’s Eye is also a part of Stern’s Insider Connected platform, which players can use to interact with the game and players around the world.
The game is available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition models, each of which feature artwork by Vincent Proce, music by Cris Velasco, and an iconic voice cast including Michael Dorn, Kevin Smith, Luke Gygax, Chris Prynoski, Brendon Small, Gerard Way, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Marisha Ray, Anthony Carboni, and Mica Burton. The Limited Edition model will be limited to 740 games in honor of D&D’s launch in 1974.
Once you add Dungeons & Dragons: The Tyrant’s Eye to your game room, you’ll officially have rolled a Nat 20 on your setup.
