We’re not in the Upside Down anymore.
Yesterday, Netflix revealed that the most recent season of Stranger Things was the show’s most viewed ever, according to Deadline. The third season has been viewed by 64 million households within one month of its debut on the streaming service. This view rate marks the show’s best streaming numbers to date. It’s no wonder Netflix already renewed the nostalgic show for a fourth season and signed a multiyear deal with the showrunners: the Duffer brothers.
This news comes out of the streaming service’s quarterly shareholder letter, which revealed data from the platform’s successful earnings. Its third quarter saw the company bounce back, earning $5.245 billion total in revenue and surpassing many Wall Street estimates, according to Deadline. The letter also indicated the platform’s global subscriber base increased to 158.33 million users.
Other notable programs that the service touts as successes this quarter include the limited series Unbelievable, the family film Tall Girl, the thriller Secret Obsession, the film Otherhood, and the third season of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist).
