If you’re looking for the ultimate Stranger Things collectible, Stern Pinball has you covered.
You can live out your arcade fantasies with a trio of pinball machines inspired by the hit series. With these pro, premium, and limited-edition machines, players can plunk down quarters just like the kids in Hawkins, Indiana, did at the Palace Arcade. The Duffer Brothers appear in a new video introducing the pro machine, stating that they’ve been dreaming of a Stranger Things pinball machine ever since they created the series.
The gameplay will introduce players to the terrifying forces that turn the small town of Hawkins into the Upside Down. As the game progresses, players will unlock the hidden meanings of supernatural events occurring in and around the town, including the appearance of a girl, known as Eleven, with telekinetic abilities. Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Joyce, and Police Chief Jim Hopper help Eleven close the dimensional gate.
“Stranger Things is one of the most successful shows of all time, connecting with people around the world and across generations. This game features action, mystery, suspense, and humor — Stranger Things is a perfect fit for pinball,” says Gary Stern, chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball Inc.
As always, the features for each version of the pinball cabinet go up along with the price tag. Beyond the base level pro ($6,099), the premium ($7,699) and limited-edition ($9,099) models feature a first-ever video projector that displays images and animations directly onto the playfield, creating dramatic interactions with gameplay action. The center of the playfield features a unique ramp that doubles as a screen and leads the player into a direct battle with the Demogorgon. They also feature an Eleven-themed “telekinetic” magnetic ball lock.
All cabinets feature hand-drawn art and a custom-sculpted, interactive Demogorgon bash toy guarded by drop targets and a rotating ramp. All models include two hideout ball scoops, a Demodog spinner, three custom ramps, and more.
For the ultimate Stranger Things experience, the limited edition boasts exclusive mirrored backglass; exclusive, custom-themed cabinet artwork; a custom autographed bottom arch; exclusive custom art blades; anti-reflection pinball glass; a shaker motor; and a sequentially numbered plaque. The cabinet is limited to just 500 pieces globally.
