Next month, Nintendo is adding another color to the Switch family. The handheld-only Nintendo Switch Lite is launching in a new, blue color on May 21.
This shade will become the fifth Switch Lite to hit the market. The system launched in late 2019 with three color options: yellow, gray, and turquoise. Then, early last year, Nintendo added a coral option.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Nintendo Switch family of gaming consoles, the Switch Lite is a smaller, physically lighter version of the Nintendo Switch system. It is designed for on-the-go gaming and is compatible with all games in the Nintendo Switch library that support handheld mode.

Those who want to invest in this trendy, new Switch Lite design will be just in time to enjoy some major summer game launches from Nintendo, including New Pokémon Snap, which launches on April 30, and Miitopia, which launches the same day as the blue Switch Lite. In Miitopia, players can create custom Mii characters and cast them in a comedy-filled adventure to bring down the face-stealing Dark Lord.
The new Switch Lite will be available at major retailers for $199.99.
