It seems like we just heard the rumblings that Edward Cullen Robert Pattinson might take up the mantle as The Dark Knight, but filming for The Batman is already underway with Pattinson in the titular role.
Yesterday, director Matt Reeves shared a photo of the clapperboard from the first day of filming, appropriately captioned “#DayOne.”

The photo also gives fans a first look at the movie’s logo, which is an all-caps “The Batman” with some of the letters a bit faded.
This on-screen rendition of The Caped Crusader is scheduled to hit theaters next June, and it reportedly will start the hero’s journey over (no tie-in with Ben Affleck’s version of the character).
Colin Farrell (The Penguin), Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Paul Dano (The Riddler), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone), and Peter Sarsgaard (TBA) are joining Pattinson in the cast.
