The Ticket to Ride cross-country train adventure is heading west to the Golden City in the board game series’ newest installment, Ticket to Ride: San Francisco.
Following New York, London, and Amsterdam, Ticket to Ride: San Francisco is the fourth entry to the board game’s city editions, which are smaller versions of the original Ticket to Ride board game that offer faster gameplay. Ticket to Ride: San Francisco challenges players to race through iconic San Fran landmarks in under 15 minutes. Along the way, players can collect souvenirs in hopes of scoring more points than their opponents.
The game comes with a map of San Francisco that serves as the game board, mini cable car game pieces, SF destination cards, transportation cards, and a punch board. Though there’s little time to stop and stare, this speedy sightseeing tour includes some of the city’s most notable attractions, including the Painted Ladies, Alcatraz, and — of course — the Golden Gate Bridge.
With its easy-to-learn rules and strategy-based gameplay, this game offers the perfect (and maybe the only) opportunity to shamelessly embrace your inner tourist. Grab your fanny pack, binoculars, and maybe some sun-screen, because things are definitely going to get heated.
Ticket to Ride: San Francisco will be available for purchase this summer for $24.99 exclusively at Target. In the meantime, check out the game’s announcement trailer below!
