TOMY has righted the ship with the reveal of its Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 replica!
The ship is a 1:350 scale premium die-cast design, based on the U.S.S. Enterprise from the first Star Trek film. It features several viewable, detailed interiors, as well as three light modes.
TOMY utilized the expertise of Star Trek experts when crafting this replica to ensure the most accurate model possible. “As far as I’m concerned, this is the most accurate model of the Motion Picture Enterprise that has yet been produced, as its design incorporates reference materials not available previously,” says Gary Kerr, who assisted TOMY and previously worked as a technical consultant on the 2006 Star Trek: The Motion Picture remaster.
The TOMY Star Trek: The Motion Picture U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 will cost fans $699 and will hit production once the crowd-funded number of orders is met. The piece is set to ship in October next year.
