Last year, UBTECH Robotics put Star Wars fans in control of their own First Order Stormtrooper. Now, the company turns its attention to the superhero world, with the first-ever humanoid robot inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): the Iron Man MK50 Robot.
Officially licensed by Marvel Entertainment, the Iron Man MK50 Robot hit retail today, debuting alongside other toys and products based on Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame. The new entry into the world of connected play pairs advanced robotics with augmented reality (AR) to give kids and adults a unique superhero experience.
Using the companion app to control the Iron Man MK50, players can put themselves inside the mask as they assume the role of Tony Stark. Flip the visor to see yourself inside the suit! Users control movement, lights, and sounds via a mobile device, and players can code original, custom action sequences to personalize the experiences using block-based programming inside a drag-and-drop editor.
The AR experience on iOS and Android features missions and battle skill training, with the robot facing off against enemy drones inspired by Iron Man’s villains.
The Iron Man MK50 Robot by UBTECH is available now on Amazon and ubtrobot.com.
