Van Leeuwen is already known for its super sweet ice cream, with various delicious and creamy flavors. Now, in a partnership that is purrfectly paired, Sanrio’s Hello Kitty is getting her own ice cream flavor. The Hello Kitty Yummy Berry White Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream will be available one day only, on National Ice Cream Day, July 21.
The Yummy Berry White Chocolate Truffle ice cream features a white chocolate ice cream base with swirls of red raspberry jam, inspired by Hello Kitty’s red bow, and chunks of truffle brownies. To honor the new flavor release and Hello Kitty’s kindness, Van Leeuwen will donate 50% of the profits from the flavor to charity.
Sanrio and Van Leeuwen also have plans to host a pop-up event celebrating the new flavor at the Van Leeuwen Tribeca shop on National Ice Cream Day. The pop-up will include scoops of the flavor, as well as Hello Kitty sundaes and shakes. Guests can also get goodies like a free friendship bracelet from Little Words Project.
The new Hello Kitty Yummy Berry White Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream will be available in pints at Van Leeuwen scoop shops across the nation this July 21.
