It seems like every major brand is hopping onto the NFT train these days, and the latest major media company to hit the blockchain is the House of Mouse itself.

Disney has officially partnered with digital collectibles company VeVe for a new series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that will launch for the upcoming “Disney+ Day” virtual event.

The digital collectibles will be available through the VeVe app and will feature characters, items, and moments from beloved Disney properties. The first collection will be called “Golden Moments,” which will feature digital, golden statues of moments from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Fans will be able to display and interact with these virtual items within the app, as well, using digital showrooms and/or augmented reality.

Additional Disney NFTs will continue to drop from VeVe, culminating with an ultra-rare digital collectible drop on Disney+ Day itself (Nov. 12).

Also, any collector who purchases an NFT from the Golden Moments collection (in select markets, including the U.S.) will get a free, three-month Disney+ subscription courtesy of VeVe. Those who purchase the rare collectible on Disney+ Day will get a 12-month subscription. (Current Disney+ subscribers will not be able to redeem this offer with their existing account.)

This is technically Disney’s second collaboration with VeVe for digital collectibles, following a series of officially licensed NFTs for Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios. (Related: there are two What If…? NFT drops on the platform tomorrow, Oct. 30.)
