The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo is in full swing this weekend, and the popular anime platform just revealed TONS of big news at its Crunchyroll Industry Panel.

In case you missed it, here are some of the biggest announcements from today:

Crunchyroll x Lootcrate

The Crunchyroll x Lootcrate partnership that the companies teased last month will officially include two new, themed boxes: the Crunchyroll Crate and the Limited Edition Mobile Suit Gundam Life Crate!

The monthly Crunchyroll Crate will feature items inspired by a variety of anime titles — including the upcoming Crunchyroll Original series Noblesse, alongside fan-favorites Mob Psycho 100, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime — and products featuring the brand’s mascot, Crunchyroll-Hime. Fans can preorder that box here, and it will start shipping in late November or early December.

The Mobile Suit Gundam Life Crate is a limited-edition, 8-crate series. More details will be available this fall, and fans can sign up here to get updates!

Crunchyroll + Adult Swim = Shenmue

Yep, Crunchyroll is partnering with Adult Swim again, this time for a production of Shenmue, an original anime series based on the SEGA game franchise.

The 13-episode series will stream worldwide (outside of Japan and mainland China) on Crunchyroll and will air on Adult Swim’s Toonami in the U.S.

The series follows the journey of Ryo Hazuki. According to the official description, “After he witnesses his father’s murder at the family dojo, Ryo dedicates his life to finding the man responsible — a mission that takes him from the streets of Yokosuka, Japan to the sprawling metropolis of Hong Kong, and beyond. Soon he’ll learn that larger, mystical forces are at play as he trains to become the ultimate martial artist in his quest for revenge.”

Crunchyroll x Sentai Home Video Partnership

Crunchyroll and Sentai are teaming up for a home video and electronic sell-through distribution partnership, which means Sentai will produce Blu-rays and premium box sets for some of Crunchyroll’s shows.

To kick off the partnership, Sentai Filmworks will distribute four titles: Food Wars! The Fourth Plate, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Granbelm, and World Trigger. These will appear as a mix of subtitled and English-dubbed content.

The panel also included a preview of the anime slate heading to Crunchyroll this fall, including the second seasons of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord: Omega and Dr. Stone and some series launching in October, such as JUJUTSU KAISEN and Noblesse.

Fans who want to check out the full panel can easily do so! Just register for a free Virtual Crunchyroll Expo badge here and stream the Crunchyroll Industry Panel in the V-CRX On-Demand section!
