Based on the online chaos that ensued yesterday morning, it’s clear that a LOT of people were buying tickets for Avengers: Endgame. We’re starting to see just how many, now that everything has somewhat settled, and the ticket sales were literally record-breaking.
On Fandango, the fourth Avengers film unseated Star Wars: The Force Awakens to become the top-selling, pre-sale title of all time. (Please note: It took Endgame less than six hours to earn the No. 1 spot.)
#AvengersEndgame gave The Force Awakens the *snap* as the top-selling pre-sale title in the first 24 hours.

Atom Tickets, a relatively new player in the world of movie tickets, also reported record sales. According to Deadline, Endgame had the company’s best first-day sales ever, outselling Aquaman by four times.
The movie’s ticket sales for Regal theaters also outpaced any other Marvel movie in history. Within the first eight hours, Endgame had already doubled the first week sales for Avengers: Infinity War.
And remember: The movie broke all of these records despite the website errors and canceled orders many customers reported.
To compensate for the demand, theaters have added screenings in the very early hours of April 26. And, yes, those are selling out, too.
