It’s official: the biggest Transformers action figure ever created is going into production!
Hasbro‘s Transformers: War for Cybertron Unicron was announced this summer as a new crowdsourcing effort from the HasLab platform under Hasbro Pulse. Following a successful debut of the HasLab platform last year with the Star Wars the Vintage Collection Jabba’s Sail Barge (the Khetanna), the company went bigger in both scale and price with Unicron — based on the character as seen in Transformers: The Movie (1986) — a figure with a massive, 30-inch diameter in planet mode and a hefty $574.99 price tag.
Have you seen the mighty #UNICRON? The ONLY place to see @Hasbro’s BIGGEST @transformers figure EVER is at The Pop Insider Booth #270 at #NYCC! Just 300 backers needed by tomorrow on Hasbro Pulse to fund it! https://t.co/ngwvk3mqbR #FuelYourFandom #NYCC2019 pic.twitter.com/bqI5mwfTQv

Just four days ago, Unicron was sitting at 7,000 backers as the mighty Lord of Chaos entered New York Comic Con (NYCC) as part of a special display in the Pop Insider‘s first-ever NYCC booth (No. 270). Each day, the number of backers increased, and the project hit its 8,000th backer around 10 p.m. ET last night. At press time, 8,546 Transformers fans have backed Unicron. That’s a whopping $4,913,864.54 worth of Transformers!
If you want to get in on the action, you have about 14 hours from this writing to get your backing (now a preorder) in for Unicron.
