Something pretty cool is happening tomorrow, gamers!
Four months ago, during this year’s E3 virtual show, Microsoft surprised fans with a first look at a real, working minifridge designed to look like the Xbox Series X console. Now, what started as a meme about the system’s shape is coming full circle, as this must-have appliance is about to drop for preorders.
Created in partnership with Ukonic, the matte-black fridge can hold up to 10 cans and has two shelves in the door for snacks. The front of the fridge also features a USB port for charging devices, while the inside glows a bright Xbox green. The exterior is designed to look just like the gaming console that inspired it, complete with the LED logo and a fake game disk slot.
The fridge will cost $99.99 and will be available for U.S.-based gamers exclusively at Target and target.com. The appliance will be available to preorder starting tomorrow, Oct. 19, and will arrive in December — just in time to be a great gift for the gamers in your life (or for yourself) this holiday season.
