Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City is releasing next month, and Alamo Drafthouse has the perfect goodies to go with it. You can preorder an exclusive, limited-edition lunchbox and thermos set, both featuring Asteroid City art. This set is only available for purchase online from May 24 to June 15, and is sold exclusively with movie tickets from Alamo Drafthouse. Get tickets for the new film and a souvenir set that will remind you of the experience every time you eat.
Alamo Drafthouse is well-known for going above and beyond with food and fun features, and it’s making sure it’s got plenty of offerings to celebrate the new movie. Asteroid City is getting a limited theatrical release in NYC and LA on June 16, before releasing nationwide on June 23. But eager space lovers can see the film even earlier, with Alamo Drafthouse hosting advance screenings across the country on June 12.
If you can’t swing the advance screenings, you can still make it to one of the Chili Supper Screenings, happening at select theaters during the opening week of the movie. The screenings will feature a curated food menu with chili, hotdogs, grilled cheese, and themed popcorn. Wes Anderson character costumes are encouraged!
There’s also a new craft beer at Alamo themed around the movie. The Asteroid City Lager from brewery Dogfish Head has regenerative pilsner malt, tuxpeno corn malt, zuper saazer hops, and mid-20th century Pennsylvania lager yeast. It comes in a can that is branded with art from the movie.
Fans of the colorful and whimsical world of Wes Anderson films are already eagerly anticipating Asteroid City. The new movie features a star-studded cast including Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, and more. It centers around the strange happenings at a Junior Stargazer convention taking place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955.
