SDCC: AMC Turns up the Terror with Horror-Filled Panel Lineup

Get ready for blood, brains, and big reveals at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC). 

AMC Global Media is creeping back to the con with a spooky slate of panels and previews spotlighting the network’s hottest horror hits. From The Walking Dead and The Vampire Lestat to all-new terrifying tales, fans will have plenty to sink their teeth into all weekend long.

If you’ve been dying to see the third season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, you’re in luck. On Friday, July 24, in Hall H, the series’ cast, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Aimee Garcia (Renata), and Raúl Castillo (Omar), will join showrunner Seth Hoffman and executive producer Scott Gimple for a panel to discuss the upcoming season. Fans will also get an exclusive sneak peek at the season premiere before it airs July 26, followed by a full advance screening later that evening at The Loft at Petco Park, hosted by the cast and creative team. 

Also on Friday, The Vampire Lestat will take the stage in Hall H for its debut SDCC panel. Fresh from the third season, Jacob Anderson (Louis de Pointe du Lac), Assad Zaman (Armand), and Eric Bogosian (Daniel Molloy) will sit down with creator and showrunner Rolin Jones and executive producers Mark Johnson and Hannah Moscovitch to reflect on the season and revisit epic musical performance The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live.

The nightmare continues on Saturday, July 25, with a firsthand look at AMC+’s all-new mystery thriller series. Inspired by a cryptid from Slavic folklore, Yaga follows private detective Rapp, who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the mysterious missing person’s case, uncovering a labyrinth of suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic in the process. Series stars Noah Reid (Rapp), Clark Backo (Carson), and Carrie-Anne Moss (Katherine) will join showrunner, executive producer, and author of the original play Kat Sandler to talk about the show, as well as offer fans an exclusive preview. 

The scares don’t stop there! AMC and Shudder will also join the 10th Anniversary Bold Voice of Contemporary Horror panel on Friday, where Deborah Ann Woll (The Cycle) and Dan Stevens (The Terror: Devil in Silver) will chat with other indie and studio horror filmmakers and creators about the state of the genre, while giving fans sneak peeks of some of the most talked-about releases on the way this year.
