Fans Can Now Collect American Girl Dolls as Little People and Polly Pockets

American Girl is turning 40 this year, and it’s getting all dolled up to celebrate — literally! 

The brand’s parent company, Mattel, is launching super-cute crossovers that combine historic American Girl characters with two iconic doll formats: Fisher-Price Little People and Polly Pocket. With adorable styling and collectible charm, these mini mash-ups are as timeless as all three beloved brands. The collectible playsets and mini-figures are available now in-store and online. 

Whether you were a Felicity fan, a Samantha stan, or an Addy addict, every American Girl lover can celebrate their favorite character with the Fisher-Price Little People Collector set. This special-edition box set features all eight original American Girl dolls — Molly, Kirsten, Addy, Kit, Samantha, Josefina, Felicity, and Kaya — each reimagined in Little People’s signature style. You can play with the figures for a nostalgic throwback, or display them on your shelf in their decorated window-box packaging inspired by the covers of their classic books. 

Speaking of books, the Polly Pocket x American Girl Compacts had a truly novel idea — transforming the dolls’ storybooks into adorable, foldable micro-playsets. The set includes three special-edition compacts, one for Kirsten, Samantha, and Josefina. Fans can crack open the cover to reveal a micro version of each character and her bedroom setup, complete with unique details from their stories, like furniture, cozy blankets, and their favorite furry friends. You can clip each micro-doll to the compact with charms inspired by the iconic American Girl boxes, then attach the entire playset to your keyring for a little girl power on the go. 

Both American Girl collabs are available now in-store and online at American Girl Store and Mattel Creations. The Fisher-Price Little People Collector Set will ship Aug. 7, while the Polly Pocket playsets are slated to arrive Sept. 3.
