BAPE and Hot Wheels are teaming up to speed into the (vintage-inspired) fast lane.

Tokyo-based fashion brand Bathing Ape is partnering with Hot Wheels, Mattel‘s leading vehicle franchise, on a limited-edition die-cast and apparel collection.

The BAPE x Hot Wheels collab will feature a die-cast model based on the custom 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL. The car, also known as the “Gull-wing Coupe” because of its seagull-like door structure, has been wrapped in BAPE’s ABC CAMO with the logos are placed at all angles, including on the hood. The model comes with a special casing for the ultimate display.

The T-shirts and hats featured in the BAPE x Hot Wheels collection are designed with a wide variety of graphics inspired by the racing culture from the past years. The color palette in this collection (See top image!) consists of vintage-inspired olive and red colors, paying tribute to the history of Hot Wheels.
