Batman Day is only a few weeks away (Sept. 19 — mark your calendars!) and Warner Bros. just released a *super* slate of socially distant ways to celebrate the Caped Crusader!
Starting today, drivers who use the Waze app to get directions can activate a new theme and drive along with either Batman or The Riddler. This will update the car icon and the in-app voice directions (yes, you can get your directions from Kevin Conroy from Batman: The Animated Series). This new theme will be available until Oct. 31.
Fans can also team up with Batman to save Gotham City in a series of virtual activities, such as decoding some social media clues for when the virtual Bat-Signal lights up at 12 p.m. PT on Sept. 18. Check out the @DCComics Twitter to participate!
Other experiences include a week of new activities on batmanday.com leading up to the big day (including DIY cape and cowl instructions), a virtual Batman 5K/10K run that launches today, a Batman takeover on HBO Max, and free digital comics.
There’s even some new Batman Day merch to look out for! LEGO, Spin Master, and Funko will all release exclusive Batman products for the special day, while retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, and GameStop will have special Batman promotions.
Be sure to check out batmanday.com for all the details and updates as Batman Day gets closer!
