Welcome to phase four, folks!
This morning, Marvel Studios officially kicked off the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a poster and teaser trailer for the upcoming Black Widow movie. Scarlett Johansson is back as the super-spy Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and she’s joined by three new characters: Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. This teaser gives fans a look at all three new characters and shows us that Natasha’s definition of “family” may have been even more complicated than she previously let on.
In the two-minute trailer, there’s action, there’s humor, there’s throwback footage that’ll leave you misty-eyed, and — of course — there are lots of Russian accents. So check out the full teaser below, and start counting down the days until May 1, when Black Widow debuts in theaters.
