Blizzard, the popular game publisher known for titles such as Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Overwatch, will not release a new major title in 2019, according to Activision.
Activision also confirmed that despite mobile gaming being a “top priority,” fans won’t see an upcoming mobile release of Diablo Immortal this year. The title was announced back in 2018 and would pick back up five years after the powerful worldstone was destroyed.
This news comes after word that Activision Blizzard will restructure, indicating that the company will lay off 8 percent of its 9,600-person staff. The company will focus its efforts on the following titles: Call of Duty, Candy Crush, Overwatch, Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Diablo.
