Legends of Lucha Libre

Boss Fight Studio is flying from the top rope and into the ring as the new tag team partner for Masked Republic!

As part of a deal forged by Firefly Brand Management, Boss Fight Studio — known for its high-quality, collector-favorite action figures including Bucky O’Hare and Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. — becomes global toy partner for Masked Republic’s Legends of Lucha Libre and Lil’ Luchas brands. Next year, Boss Fight Studio will launch a complete line of all-new action figures, carry cases, role play and blind packs featuring the likenesses of heroic luchadores whose IP rights are managed by Masked Republic.

“Working with our agent, FanGirl Consulting & Brand Management, Boss Fight Studio continues to grow our presence in the licensing community, strengthening our partnerships further by working with top brands such as the Masked Republic and Firefly Brand Management teams,” says Sarah Brown, director of business development and marketing at Boss Fight Studio. “We are excited to bring this new expression to kids and collectors around the world. Boss Fight Studio infuses our passion and love of fun into all of our toys — Legends of Lucha Libre will be no exception!”

“As we have expanded our licensing efforts for our Legends of Lucha Libre brand over the last few years, the number one question we have received is when we will be releasing action figures of some of our top current luchadores,” explains Ruben Zamora, founder & CEO of Masked Republic. “Thanks to this new and extremely exciting agreement with Boss Fight Studio, we now get to tell them ‘your favorites are coming soon!’”

Masked Republic recently collaborated with Super7 on a limited collection of vintage style Legends of Lucha Libre ReAction Figures, that debuted in February. That collection includes the first officially licensed Blue Demon Jr. figure in 25 years, the first officially licensed Tinieblas Jr. figure in a decade, and the first officially licensed Solar figure in history.
