Calling all Star Wars-fan pet owners!
It’s almost one of the year’s biggest holidays — May the Fourth — and Chewy, the online pet store, is celebrating the beloved Wookie warrior, Chewbacca (a.k.a. Chewie … get it?)
To celebrate, Chewy is holding its first open casting call to find a Chewbacca pet look alike to star in the company’s next Star Wars campaign. The winner will be selected based on their resemblance to Chewbacca and will receive a VIP — Very Important Pet — package, including a custom Star Wars-themed photoshoot, a spotlight feature on Chewy’s website and social media, exclusive items from Chewy’s Star Wars collection and Chewy’s personalized shop, framed photoshoot photos, and insane bragging rights.
In order to enter, parents of Chewie lookalikes must share a photo of their pet on social media, tag @Chewy, and use the hashtags #ChewyCastingCall and #Maythe4thBeWithYou.
In addition to this awesome opportunity, Chewy is offering a special Star Wars Day deal on its ever-growing Star Wars collection, which features everything from toys, to apparel, bowls, and beds. Through May 5, pet parents will receive $10 off when they spend $25 on Star Wars items. The collection is currently available for purchase on Chewy’s website!
