When Chris Messina walked the red carpet at last night’s Golden Globes, fans were quick to notice his new bleach blonde hair (and Twitter was there for it).

However, fans speculate that Messina—who attended the Globes as part of the Sharp Objects cast—might have blonde locks due to his role as super-villain Victor Zsasz in DC’s Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). While Zsasz often appears in the comics with a shaved head, he also appears with blonde hair similar to Messina’s—and people noticed.

Zsasz appears in the DC comics as a serial killer who adds a tally mark to his body for each of his kills. In Birds of Prey, he will likely work closely with Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) as they battle multiple female superheroes.
