Chris Pratt may have reached blockbuster fame as a Star Lord, dinosaur wrangler, and master builder, but it seems that “Cowboy Ninja Viking” may not be in the cards yet.

Universal Studios indefinitely delayed Cowboy Ninja Viking, the film which Pratt was set to star in and produce. The studio originally slated production to begin next month, with Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones) set to make her feature directorial debut and Priyanka Chopra in talks to star opposite Pratt.

According to Deadline, there were rumors of turbulence on set and some changes in elements of the story before the studio halted pre-production earlier this week.

The film, based on the comic book series of the same name, follows an assassin named Duncan who possesses characteristics and skills of—of course—a cowboy, a ninja, and a Viking.

Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese wrote the original draft of the script, while Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) and Ryan Engle (Rampage) wrote the most recent version.

Not all hope is lost, though, for fans of the comics who were looking forward to seeing the film on the big screen next summer. Pratt is still tied to the project, producing it with Michael De Luca, Mark Gordon, and Entertainment 360. The film also “remains in active development” and Universal is expected to re-date the film.
