An iconic ‘90s snack is taking a new shape!
Today in “merch we weren’t expecting,” the first-ever Dunkaroos shoes (or “DunkAShoes”) are here. The hand-painted sneakers feature a Dunkaroos-inspired palette with shades of yellow, purple, teal, and magenta. Of course, the iconic rainbow chip pattern is featured throughout the kicks.
Each pair of DunkAShoes includes a Dunkaroos keychain that you can attach to the back of the shoe or remove and use to hold keys. The DunkAShoes’ custom insoles are even printed with Dunkaroo cookies.
Nicolle Knight created these custom Reeboks under her custom sneaker brand Katty Customs. Knight has more than 10 years of experience in creating custom kicks and has starred in shows such as MTV’s Sneaker Wars and Overtime Paint Wars.
The shoes will be available on NTWRK, a social marketplace that offers livestream shopping experiences for arts, sneakers, trading cards, and more. Fans who are interested in the creation of the Dunkaroos are encouraged to check out NTWRK and Knight’s Instagram pages (@kattycustoms and @NTWRK).
The sneakers will be available for purchase at thentwrk.com on March 27 at 3 p.m. PT. Feeling lucky? Sneakerheads can enter a draw to win the DunkAShoes for free on the same day and time as the drop, but they must download the NTWRK app to enter.
