The DC Universe streaming service released its latest trailer for a new series based on the DC Comics classic superhero Swamp Thing.
The new Swamp Thing series from executive producer James Wan follows Dr. Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) as she investigates a serious virus quickly spreading across a small Louisiana town.
No one is safe, as several people fall ill and become quarantined from the remaining townspeople.
Dr. Arcane, along with her team of investigators from the CDC, trace the virus back to a swamp within the town that may have been the site of illegal dumping. There’s also the possibility that an accelerator could have contributed to the epidemic.
Whatever it is, it’s turning the townsfolk into gross swamp creatures covered in gooey, green seaweed, and the doctor has to get to the bottom of the outbreak. I mean, she can’t even check her Insta updates in peace!
The spooky original series based on the comic book written and drawn by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson will emerge from the murky depths tomorrow. New episodes will stream weekly on DC Universe.
