D23 is full of magical must-have merch announcements, but this might be the fairest of them all. Disney Store is teaming up with streetwear sorcerer Bobby Kim for a new apparel line, and it’s a fashion lover’s dream come true.
Launching at D23, the Disney | Bobby Kim collab will feature a curated collection of limited-edition graphic tees, each inspired by some of Kim’s favorite vintage Disney designs. The first drop will debut Aug. 20 on disneystore.com and include six graphic tees, all drawing on legendary fairy tales and films from the Disney vault. However, in honor of D23, fans can score a bonus drop as early as Aug. 15: a spellbinding Sorcerer Mickey long-sleeve.
Conjured from a classic design Kim spotted in Harajuku, Japan, the Fantasia-inspired tee features a nostalgic Mickey Mouse illustration straight out of a sketchbook, surrounded by bright white stars and colorful characters from the film. D23 attendees will have first dibs on the design during the Disney Style Around the World panel Aug. 15. After that, the shirt will be available to shop online for one day only, starting at 8 a.m. PST on Aug. 17.
