Today’s the day: The sun is shining, the tank is clean, and Disney+ is finally live!
The highly anticipated streaming service — which includes a content library and new titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Channel, National Geographic, and more — went live early this morning, long before the reported 9 a.m. ET launch. However, many new subscribers were met with error messages when they tried to load any content.

Disney officially blamed the technical difficulties on high demand. According to Deadline, a Disney spokesperson says, “The consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations. We are pleased by this incredible response and are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.”
Some Simpsons fans were also less than thrilled, as all episodes of the show are cropped to a 16:9 ratio, even episodes originally produced in a 4:3 ratio.
