When you unbox a new Sonny Angel, the only surprise should be the adorable hat it’s wearing — not whether or not it’s real! Fans deserve better than knockoffs, so Dreams USA took its collectibles to court to make sure fans’ shelves stay cute, consistent, and counterfeit-free.
In a series of federal lawsuits, Dreams USA secured more than $1 million against counterfeit sellers, along with permanent bans on fake Sonny Angel, Smiski, and Hippers products. While additional cases are still underway, this win helps ensure collectors can crack open their surprise boxes with confidence, knowing they’re getting the real deal.

Until the counterfeits leave for good, Dreams USA encourages fans only to buy collectibles from authorized retailers. Avoid suspiciously cheap listings, and treat random mall kiosks and TikTok sellers with a side-eye. If something feels off — whether it’s packaging, price, quality, or just vibes — do a little more digging before you add it to your cart. Your display is definitely worth a double check.
