Another year, another round of virtual fan events following the cancelation of Toy Fair New York.
Multiple collectibles companies have scheduled social media-based events to showcase their upcoming products for fans, following Super7’s Super7 Days of Teasers and Funko Fair 2022, a three-day event that kicked off today, Feb. 15.
First up is Boss Fight Studio, which is hosting a “Boss Fest” virtual event. This event will take place over 10 days: Feb. 16-27, with a bonus “Boss Fight Day” on March 13. While Boss Fight Day will focus on the company’s H.A.C.K.S. line, the rest of Boss Fest will range from new product reveals and product updates to entirely new partnership announcements. Highlights include an update on the company’s Umbrella Academy figures at 3 p.m. ET on Feb. 20 and a live Q&A about the Popeye line at 4 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Fans can check out the full schedule of events in the graphic to the left and catch all of the Boss Fest content across the company’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channel.
Mezco Toyz, meanwhile, is coming back for another rendition of Mezco Toyzfair from Feb. 17-20. As with previous Mezco virtual events, there will be a preview night starting at 1 p.m. ET on Feb. 17 when “something otherworldly” will appear on the Mezco site. (Based on previous Mezco events, there’s a good chance it is an event-exclusive collectible.) The following days will feature a mix of product reveals and giveaways. Fans can check out a full schedule of events here and watch the Mezco Toyz Instagram and Twitter for product reveals throughout the virtual event.
Target’s Collector’s Spot is also getting in on the virtual con action this month with another rendition of Funko Target Con. Starting at 9 a.m. ET on Feb. 25, fans will be able to snag Target-exclusive collectibles from Funko. The retailer will reveal additional exclusives each week leading up to the event. So far, the lineup includes a Flocked Pop! figure of Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog and a Pop! figure of WWE’s Becky Lynch holding champion belts. Head to Target’s main collector page for more details and the latest reveals.
