Doctor Doom’s plan for world domination starts with our wallets. After the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer stole the show at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), Disney Consumer Products is giving fans a glimpse of the first merchandise inspired by the film.
The assortment spans everything from vehicles and plush to costumes and collectibles. Action figures make up the bulk of Hasbro’s lineup, including new additions to its Marvel Legends, Titan, ActionVerse, and Action FX figure series, while Mattel is launching a dangerously adorable Doctor Doom plush. For older fans, Bandai Namco, Hot Toys, and Iron Studios are all unleashing hyper-detailed collectibles inspired by the film’s biggest heroes and villains.
Meanwhile, the LEGO Group is building excitement with five new Doomsday-inspired sets. Fans can recreate iconic face-offs from the film with the New Avengers Tower, Quinjet, and Epic Battle: Doomsday Showdown sets, or bring the battle to their bookshelves with BrickHeadz of Thor, Gambit, The Thing, and Doctor Doom. Lording over the lineup is the LEGO Marvel Doctor Doom Bust, a 379-piece buildable model that perfectly captures the masked monarch’s menace, complete with a decorative nameplate and a matching minifigure.
Fans can also step into the action themselves with a variety of costumes and roleplay gear. Hasbro is launching electronic accessories inspired by Captain America, Thor, The Thing, and Doctor Doom, ranging from a battle-reactive shield and thunderous hammer to a light-up Doom mask and projectile-launching gauntlet. For cosplayers looking to fully suit up, Jazwares is debuting a deluxe Doctor Doom costume and a cape-and-mask set, both dripping with sinister style.
These Avengers: Doomsday products will start taking over shelves this fall, with more launches to come. For more information, visit disneyexperiences.com/products.
