Hold on to your butts, board game lovers! Prospero Hall, the game development studio of Funko Games, has revealed additional info about the Jurassic World tabletop game that was teased during this year’s GenCon.
Titled Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar, this new game will launch via Kickstarter on March 22. The game will feature storylines inspired by all five Jurassic World movies, spanning from the creation of Jurassic Park to the fall of Jurassic World. There will be 12 adventures in total, each taking about two hours to complete. (That means 24 hours of gaming content, folks!)
In the game, players can team up and take on the roles of iconic characters, including Dr. John Hammond, Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Claire Dearing, and Owen Grady. Throughout the game, each decision will permanently impact the direction of the adventure, resulting in very different outcomes.
The game comes with four miniature dinosaur figures to start: a Tyrannosaurus rex, a Velociraptor, a Brachiosaurus, and a Triceratops. As they progress through the game, players will unlock more dinosaurs from mystery boxes.
When it launches in March, this game will cost $120. (It also weighs a whopping 7 pounds!) Fans can check out the video below to get a first look at the game and sign up for updates about the campaign on Kickstarter.
