Free Comic Book Day will have a comic for any reader! | Source: Marvel/Diamond Comic Distributors

Free Comic Book Day may still be about six months away, but eager comic readers can at least know what will be in store from their favorite comic book publishers!

Free Comic Book Day is an annual event put together by the comic book industry for the first Saturday in May, designed to get new people out to their local comic stores. Though it’s in part designed to attract new fans, established comic book lovers also benefit from enjoying a pile of free comics.

Next year is no exception. In total, there will be more than 40 titles for fans to collect during the event on May 6.

The full list of titles was just recently announced, all of them can be seen in the above video. | Source: Free Comic Book Day

Marvel will have four new titles to choose from, all with their own fresh stories featuring everyone’s favorite superheroes and villains.

Avengers S/X-Men No. 1” is perfect for anyone who has trouble choosing their favorite superhero team. The comic will feature two stories designed to pave the way for future events in the world of X-Men mutants, with a whole new lineup of heroes. Fan favorites — including Captain America, Rogue, Deadpool, and more — will prepare readers for an upcoming team book. This comic will also feature a preview of a project from Jonathan Hickman and Valerio Schiti.

Free Comic Book Day wouldn’t be complete without one of the most popular heroes in the comic book world. “Spider-Man/Venom No. 1” puts readers into Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr.’s run of Amazing Spider-Man and will get everyone nice and prepared for the Summer of Symbiotes. This one also has a preview of upcoming content, this time a new Marvel story that’s soon to release.

There’s some Spider-Man content for the younger generation of comic fans, as well. “Spidey & Friends No. 1” is based on the Disney Junior show and is made for readers ages 5-7.

“Marvel’s Voices No. 1” highlights the diversity found in Marvel comics, with spotlights on specific characters. If you haven’t caught the Marvel’s Voices series previously, this free comic will feature stories from previous Marvel’s Voices issues in addition to a new story.

Free Comic Book Day attendees will be able to get their hands on more than these Marvel offerings, too. They’ll have lots of comics to choose from, with a total of 44 titles: 13 Gold Sponsor comics and 31 Silver Sponsor Comics. There’s something for every franchise fan, so those who aren’t big on superheroes can still get in on the fun. With comics that take place within the universes of Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Animal Crossing, Street Fighter, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more, anyone who loves the art of panel-based storytelling will want to mark May 6 on their calendars.
