Get ready to celebrate two holidays on Saturday, May 4.

More than 2,000 comic book specialty shops worldwide are giving away more than 5.2 million comic books for free on Free Comic Book Day (FCBD).

Retailers will offer free comics and events to first-time comic book readers and long-time fans.

Attendees can take one free book home from a list of 51 titles designed to appeal to a wide audience. This year’s lineup features superhero stories, including Marvel’s Avengers,  Spider-Man/Venom No. 1, DC’s Catwoman: Under the Moon, and Dear Justice League; popular kids titles, including Minecraft, The Incredibles, Star Wars Adventures, and Pokémon; and TV tie-ins, including Riverdale, Doctor Who, and Stranger Things.

“On May 4th, we encourage fans to use Free Comic Book Day as an opportunity to explore their local comic shop and discover all it has to offer,” Asthon Greenwood, a FCBD spokesperson, says in a statement. “Our hope is that everyone will walk away with comics they can’t wait to read and share, and then return to their local shop to become a part of the pop culture community and embark on more adventures through comics!”

Attendees can stick around for community events throughout the day, including creator signings, character appearances, costume contests, sales, and deals on exclusive items. All 51 titles and participating comic shops are listed on the holiday’s website.

Comic book shops host the event on the first Saturday in May every year. FCBD, which started in 2002, was founded on the belief that there’s a comic out there for everyone.

The special promotional holiday falls on Star Wars Day, making it even more epic.
