Free League’s New Dragonbane Bestiary Is Clawsome

Enchant your coffee table with frog people, fairies, hippogriffs, and hydras.

Free League Publishing released the Bestiary book for its tabletop role-playing game, Dragonbane. 

At $41.80, the hardcover book features 63 creatures with accompanying text and art. Each creature gets its own random encounter and adventure seed. It also includes nine new playable kin, each with its own ability. The Bestiary comes in a standard edition and a premium Collector’s Edition, which features a faux leather cover with gold foil print.

The Dragonbane Bestiary is illustrated by Johan Egerkrans and David Brasgalla. Most of the art was also published in 2016 in the Bestiary of the classic Swedish fantasy in which Dragonbane is based, Drakar och Demoner.

A cardboard Standee Set, made to interact with and display the creatures on a separately sold battle map, is also available.

Plus, Free League graced Dragonbane fans with a hardcover version of the Dragonbane Rulebook, available in both standard and collector’s editions. The hardcover rulebook is similar to the softcover version in the boxed Dragonbane Core Set, except this edition includes a bonus introductory adventure: The Castle of the Robber Knight.
