Star Wars Day Hallmark

Hallmark is one of the companies that made our list of the hottest deals for Star Wars Day, but it’s not just serving up great deals, it’s got new products as well.

The Hallmark crew is borrowing a phrase from Lord Vader himself as they aim to make May 4 “a day long remembered,” with the launch of new products in Hallmark Gold Crown stores and online.

Among the new items being offered is a personal favorite: a Star Wars Day exclusive Hallmark Keepsake Ornament based on the Medal of Yavin. Look closely in the recent teaser for The Rise of Skywalker, and the same medal resurface more than 40 years after it first hit screens.

“Celebrating Star Wars Day annually with fans has become a Hallmark tradition,” says Christine Taylor, licensing creative manager of Hallmark Cards. “We’ve been creating Star Wars products at Hallmark for 25 years, and being huge fans of the franchise, we love continually reinventing new ways to help friends, fans, and families to connect through their shared love of the creatures, the characters, the ships, and all the memorable moments and quotes.”

New Star Wars gift items include kitchen accessories, such as a Chewbacca-themed apron and Millennium Falcon grilling spatula. One hot new item in the itty bittys plush collection is Luke Skywalker in his X-34 Landspeeder, inspired by a deleted scene from Star Wars: A New Hope (hint: floppy hat).

Preorders will also be open for the latest Star Wars Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments (which arrive in July and Oct.), and Hallmark Gold Crown stores will be offering in-store promotions for the celebration of Star Wars Day, including a free, limited-edition, four-piece pin set with a purchase of $15 or more on Star Wars merchandise. Fans shopping in stores and online at Hallmark.com will also receive “a fourth off” select Hallmark-branded Star Wars gifts.
