For longer playtime, Hasbro also released the Monopoly: Pokémon Edition Board Game. Also recommended for ages 8 and up, the Monopoly board game offers classic gameplay with Pokémon-catching action. Players can choose from four plastic Pokémon tokens for gameplay: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Pikachu. Trainers can venture through the world of Pokémon catching and training wild Pokémon in gyms, forests, and cities. Monopoly’s multicolored bills are replaced with Poké Balls and players can battle rival trainers for additional currency. The first player to complete their mat or last trainer with Poké Balls is declared the victor. Players can collect up to 48 different Pokémon and battle each other with challenge cards.
