Man of Steel 2?! Henry Cavill appears open to reprising his role as Superman.

Cavill, of course, starred as the iconic Kryptonian hero in three DC films, most recently Justice League (2017). Though he has since moved on to other projects, such as the anticipated, soon-to-be-released Witcher Netflix series, Cavill has not given up on playing the caped wonder in the future.

He opens up about his feelings on the Man of Steel’s future in a new profile in Men’s Health, written by Brian Raftery.

“I’ve not given up the role,” Cavill says. “There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honesty of the character I want to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That’s important to me. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is: You’ll see.”

The British movie-star also opened up about his difficult childhood, in which he was bullied for his weight, and his family’s financial hardships. He was also candid about his numerous rejections from the film industry and some cringe-inducing auditions.
