We are officially two days away from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is set to release in theaters this Friday, May 5. And Hot Toys has fans covered with the latest release in its 1:6-scale collection, which depicts everyone’s favorite anthropomorphic tree.
The Guardians are returning for one last mission and Groot *SPOILER ALERT* is discovering new powers and abilities to protect his family of misfits. Since his last appearance, Groot has become more muscular and Hot Toys’ new, hand-painted Groot 1:6-Scale Figure ($285) reflects his look in the new film.
The figure features a newly developed head sculpt with three interchangeable faces, plus a detailed recreation of his distinctive body with realistic moss and tree textures. The figure comes with numerous weapons and accessories, including Groot’s heavy pistols, a detonator, and a selection of sprouts that collectors can attach to his body for added texture.
The deluxe version of this figure ($350) comes with even more accessories and features, including additional pistols, an interchangeable tree-textured torso, poseable branching arms, and branching legs. Both figures come with a specially designed movie-themed figure stand featuring the film’s logo.
Both versions of the Groot 1:6-Scale Figure are available to preorder now at Sideshow. They are expected to ship between April and September of next year.
