Select General Mills breakfast foods will feature the Guardians of the Galaxy! | Source: General Mills

The Guardians of the Galaxy already have a talking raccoon and a sentient tree, so why not add a cereal-obsessed rabbit and a lucky leprechaun? Some of your breakfast faves are suiting up to save the universe, as General Mills and Marvel are teaming up to put the Guardians of the Galaxy on cereal and other snack boxes this spring.

The campaign to promote Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 puts the Marvel characters on cereal boxes alongside iconic brand mascots like Lucky the Leprechaun the Trix Rabbit, who are also dressed in a Guardians uniform!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios, Trix, Reese’s Puffs, Lucky Charms, and Cookie Crisp are all getting in on the collaboration. Collectors will want to get their hands on the Walmart-exclusive kit that features all six cereal boxes along with a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 pin set. The cereal kit will be available at walmart.com starting on May 3.

However, the collab doesn’t stop at cereal. Everyone’s favorite tree character is taking over Go-Gurt and aptly renaming it Groot-Gurt. Groot-Gurt will be available in Berry, Cotton Candy, Mixed Berry, Strawberry, and Strawberry Banana flavors. The Guardians are always on the go, which is why General Mills’ Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms cereal bars will also feature special packaging.

You could even bring your Guardians of the Galaxy snacks to your viewing of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (okay, maybe not the Groot-Gurt) when it hits theaters on May 5.
